Green Halloween – 2009!
I’ll be at Whole Foods on Octboer 21st offering a fun green craft for the kids and a special coupon for Green holiday cards – all printed using 100% wind generated power and on 100% post consumer waste paper, and they are sooo lovely too.
Holli Dunn Photography is proud to be a sponsor of Green Halloween. Be sure to check out the Green Halloween website at www.greenhalloween.org to get some great ideas on being “green” next Halloween! This fall Green Halloween has expanded quite a bit too and it’s very exciting for everyone! Profits from Green Halloween benefit TreeSwing. Be sure to check out the t-shirt and bag design contest going on now!

I’ve also done some commercial work for Kedzie Press, Corey Colwell-Lipson & Lynn Colwell with a new book that’s coming out this Summer called “Celebrate Green! Creating Ec0-Savvy Holiday’s, Celebrations and Traditions for the Whole Family” which will definitely be worth checking out once it’s available in the stores! Corey and Lynn also have a blog featuring the book! Be sure to visit!

How is Holli Dunn Photography being green? I admit, it’s been fun and it has been a little bit hard figuring out how to make my business as green and earth-friendly as much as I can. Such as, how far I should go with my packaging and making sure your photographs are protected while in-transit. I’m moving more and more to the use of recycled bags/packaging, and most importantly cutting down on the amount of bags and paper products I use on orders. I’ve now moved to a system of batching orders sent in to my photography lab to cut down on shipping and packaging. And I’m moving all my information over to digital brochures that will be posted on the web instead of being printed.
In the meantine, as I come up with new ideas to help me keep my business as green as possible, I’ll be implementing them as I go along!
